After 30 years of float bags looking the same, you wouldn?t expect to find any major innovations in them. Well, enter into the world of Jackson Kayak. Paddling without float bags is not a good idea if you ever swim, might swim, ever had a skirt blow, ever might have a skirt blow, or value your kayak. The Fun Float is a single horseshoe shaped bag that goes behind your rear wall to give you a single bag that will stay in, even in the worst swims, and fill up the entire stern of your kayak. This bag fits the Stars, Funs and many other boats too. Made of sturdy urethane like the Happy Feet, so don?t worry about them breaking. The fun float measures 29? x 26? L x W

Installed this air bag in my Dagger G-Ride 6.2 and it fit great. I would think the floats should be ideal for any boat less than 7 feet depending on how much gear room you want. Had to take my time and roll the right wing and "ease" it behind the foam wall, but once there it inflated perfectly. No way this could come out in a rapid. I'm still astonished by how much air bags cost, but they're all that way.

I've put these into a Mon-Star after using two piece stern bags in all my other boats. I find the fun floats superior to all of the two piece set-ups for a couple of reasons 1) Float bag security, they stay put no matter how brutal the swim. 2) They are correctly fit to the Fun and Starts so that you have room for storage behind the back band. Nicely done!
